Café Macondo is a popular meet-up spot for lovers of coffee, books, and jazz music.

Namesake to the fictional town described in Gabriel García Márquez’s novel, One Hundred Years of Solitude, this magical café is located in Cali’s San Antonio neighbourhood. It’s known mainly for its desserts and coffee-based drinks, and live musical performances on the weekend.

It looks smaller than it is from the outside, however, it can still become quite packed on the weekend. To ensure you’ll have a table when you arrive, reserve in advance.
