Loma de la Cruz is an artisanal market that sits on top of a hill, or loma, off la 5ta (“la quinta”), just up from the street from La Topa Tolondra, and the MIO station Santa Librada.
La Loma de la Cruz is a perfect place to find typical goods for family and friends back home, or even for yourself. It also offers pretty sweet views of San Cayetano/San Antonio with el Cerro de la Tres Cruces in the background.
It’s hard to tell when exactly shops open and close up on the hill, as it seems each works according to its own schedule. Your best bet to go during the day – not too early (after 9:00), and not too late (before 19:00).
Besides the artisanal market, there are also free events like storytelling and musical performances to entice you up the hill.
