It’s simple: Salsa, salsa and more salsa is the most concise way to describe MalaMaña. It’s a small to mid-sized basement space located in El Centro where a young, casual crowd goes to hear (and dance to) traditional salsa music.
There is nothing especially notable about MalaMaña, and perhaps that’s part of its charm; the bar/club is wonderfully unpretentious. Shots start at $8.000 (COP), beers are around $5.000, guaro (Aguardiente) is $55.000 and and bottle of Colombian rum will cost you about $68.000.
