La Plazoleta Jairo Varela is a plaza located across from el CAM, just north of Cali’s center, and it was named in honor of Colombian musician and co-founder of Grupo Niche, Jairo Varela.

The plaza stands out thanks to the large artistic rendering of a trombone that stands out front. If you walk under the monument, you’ll hear that it plays Grupo Niche songs in 3 parts: rhythmic, harmonic and melodic.

The plazoleta also has a few small restaurants and food stands, and free wifi.
